When the RF admittance level switch is installed in the tank or other container, the sensor probe compares the active signal with the reference RF signal. Because all materials have unique permittivity and conductance values that are different from air, when the medium touches the probe, the impedance of the signal circuit will change resulting in the phase shift of the radio frequency signal, and the phase difference between the active signal and the reference signal makes the output circuit work.
